Detail
Join us for a wonderful group trip to the rolling farmlands of the Palouse.
Day 1. (June 13th) Shuttle from Spokane Airport (GEG) to the hotel in Colfax, WA.
Day 2 – 6. (June 14th – June 18th) The agenda will be free-form so that we can adjust to the weather and opportunities.
We will spend most of the time photographing the unique opportunities. We will have a nearly endless opportunity of crops, wildflowers, abandoned houses, and old cars. It is a great time to work on composition and the other photographic techniques and tricks. For the ones that enjoy B+W photography, it gives you an opportunity to reinterpret your images. I do not do infrared photography, but for those who do you will be in heaven. The blue skies with white puffy clouds are classic Palouse images. Let the world slow down and just absorb the simplicity of photography.
There will be three scheduled times (the afternoon of June 8th, 10th, and 12th) to cover popular landscape techniques, and then shifting to group sharing of your images later in the week. Techniques may include hyperfocal distance, high dynamic range (HDR), focus stacking, and perhaps night photography if we get a chance to do this. We will also cover the unique post-processing as it relates to these techniques.
Day 7. (June 19th) Spokane Airport (GEG). A private transfer will take you to the airport. Driving time 1 hour.

Palouse, WA
