Day 4 & 5: Lake Manyara – Central Serengeti

Your photography safari will proceed to Central Serengeti where you will spend 2 days chasing for Big 5 and other animals. The word Serengeti comes from the Maasai word “Siringet,” which means “the endless plain.” The Central Serengeti is a year-round game viewing site that features a greater diversity of wildlife than anywhere in else in the park, including elephant, giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, reedbuck, buffalo and baboon (all of which remain even after the spectacular hordes of blue wildebeest and zebras have gone). The famous Serengeti National Park is the most well-known safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. Look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass which provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. After a full-day game drive, you will head back to your camp for evening leisure, dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 6,7,8 & 9: Central Serengeti – North Serengeti
Depending on the location of Migrations these three days will give you the chances to explore and experiences it.
The experiences on this package will depend on the months you are travelling. Below is how the trip will be allocated as per migration locations:
Southern Serengeti (Ndutu)
See great herds of wildebeest and zebras. Along with the river crossings, this is a real highlight of the wildebeest’s journey and a fabulous time to see the herds congregate on the dramatic sweeping plains of the south. You will see the big herds all together as they always come south for calving season.
July – October: Northern Serengeti National Park (River Crossing) – annual migration of giant herds of grazers across Northern Tanzania and Kenya where over two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of green pasture, in a regular pattern. Dinner and overnight at Lodge
Day 10: North Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will embark upon another incredible game drive in Serengeti before driving back to Ngorongoro conservancy. Arriving at the edge of the crater Ngorongoro you will have your first foretaste of what awaits you the following day- glistening streams, open grassland and infinite number of animals.
Evening leisure and dinner at your accommodation.
Day 11 &. 12 Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing and a picnic lunch.
This park is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. The crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and is also considered the eighth Natural Wonder of the World. A visit to this amazing place is the main draw for tourists coming to Tanzania and undoubtedly a world-class attraction!
Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze while lions sleep and laze in the sun nearby. At dawn, the endangered black rhino will return to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on the dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Maasai herd their cattle and goats over green pasture and through highland slopes. They live alongside the wildlife here as they have done for centuries.
After the game drive, we will go to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
